Strawberry Nutella Crepes is a popular dessert combination that can also be served for breakfast or brunch. You won’t be able to stop at just one…
Who doesn’t love Nutella? Thin crepes slathered with Nutella, a chocolate hazelnut spread and topped with sweet strawberry slices.. Yum
Crepes are an ultra thin pancake common in France, but now enjoyed all around the world. They are made from a simple batter of flour, eggs, milk and butter. They can be made to be sweet or savory. Folded or rolled then stuffed with a variety of fillings from fruit and Nutella to ham and cheese.

A delicious crepe is all about the perfect batter. Getting the batter thin with no lumps is key. I use a metal whisk which works fine for me. You can also put the ingredients in a blender and just blend for 10 seconds. Your batter will come out lump free.
It might take a little practice to get the batter right. Too thin and they will tear, too thick and they will be rubbery.
I use an 8 inch non-stick pan. Three tablespoons of batter into the center and twirl away. This seems to give the right consistency for the perfect crepe.

How Do You Fold Strawberry Nutella Crepes?
I like to fold mine into triangles. After spreading the Nutella and adding the sliced strawberries, fold in half and half again, making triangles.
Another popular way to serve them is to roll them up. Just start at one end and roll.
Can you keep Crepes in the fridge?
Place a stack of cooked, cooled crepes (between layers of wax paper) inside a heavy-duty zip lock plastic bag. Refrigerate up to three days, or freeze up to two months.
How thick should Crepe batter be?
Crepe batter should “not” be the consistency of pancake batter. It should be extremely thin! Almost like a liquid, similar to heavy cream.
Should you let Crepe batter rest?
Yes, it is absolutely necessary to let the batter rest. Chill the batter for a minimum of 30 minutes. The batter can be made and chilled overnight.
Should Crepes be thick or thin?
The thinner the crepe the better. Once the skillet is hot, pour in 3 tablespoons of batter in the center of the pan. Quickly start tilting the pan around, this will spread the batter around the pan.

Tips:
1 – Chill the batter:
This is an important step in making delicious Crepes. Chill the crepe batter for a minimum of 30-60 minutes and up to one day. While chilling, the batter will reach its full flavor.
2 – Butter pan between each crepe:
Butter will give the crepe the thin buttery crisp edges
3 – Twirl the pan
Pour the batter into the center of the hot buttered pan. Immediately lift the pan and start twirling the pan so the batter reaches around the entire pan.

Strawberry Nutella Crepes
- Cook Time: 15 minutes
- Total Time: 15 minutes
Ingredients
1/2 cup flour
2 eggs
2 tablespoons butter, melted and cooled
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
12 large strawberries
12 tablespoons Nutella
Instructions
1. Combine crepe ingredients in a bowl and whisk until batter is smooth and lump free. The batter should be thin, thinner then a pancake batter.
2. Poor 3 tablespoons of batter in the center of a heated 8 inch buttered non stick pan. Quickly swirl pan so batter coats the base of the pan. This should make a thin crepe.
3. When lightly golden of the bottom, approximately 1 to 2 minutes, flip (I use my fingers to flip them. It’s easier then using a spatula and does not tear them.) This side should cook faster, no more then 1 minute.
4. Remove when cooked and place on wax paper. Continue until all batter is used, spreading pan with butter before each crepe.
5. Spread crepe with 1 to 2 tablespoons of Nutella. Add sliced strawberries and fold in half then half again. Top with confectionery sugar and whipped cream.
